I love having a girl! I have always wanted a daughter to do fun girly things with. The older she gets, the more girlie she gets...and I'm loving every second. Kensie enjoys to do people's hair, paint their nails, etc... Our little fashionista also likes getting in Mommy's closet to try on "pretty shoes" while telling us she is "too tall!" while smiling proudly. Today, she picked out her bow and shirt while with her daddy, and then came in to my closet to choose her final accessory...a black pair of heals. Here are a few pics of her posing in her ever-so-fashionable outfit.
Welcome to our blog site, where we will share what is going on with our family. Thanks for reading!

Kensie Turns Two!
For two years now, we've been blessed beyond our wildest dreams! Kensie has been so much fun, she makes us laugh constantly and teaches us more than we could ever teach her.
Now, I might be a bit biased, but I have a pretty smart little girl! Literally, we see her do and say new things every single day. It blows our minds because some of the things she does and says, we don't even know where she learned them! One of my favorite things she says is, "Oh no my goodness!" It cracks me up.
Here are a few things that she has been doing in her second year:
- Started potty training
- Sings "Holy, Holy, Holy" (Revelation Song) by herself (21 months)
- Can distinguish her left and right foot most of the time
- Rolled her tongue for the first time (22 months)
- Recognized all 26 letters of the alphabet (21 months)
- Sang the alphabet song by herself (18 months)
- Can count to ten sometimes, but most of the time it ends up 1 2 3 9 6 7 8 9...6 7 8 9...6 7 8 9...
- Loves to play outside...would live out there if we would let her
- Can repeat pretty much ANY word you say to her...except 'banana'. She just makes a funny noise for that word
- She speaks in full sentences most of the time (i.e.: "I go play in living room now, Mommy!")
- Started a lot of pretend play: baby dolls, playing with 'hair tools', makes food in the kitchen, etc...
- If you aren't listening to her, she'll put her hands on your cheeks and make you face her while telling you to 'listen'. (We're in TROUBLE!)
- She's a puzzle queen! Give her a puzzle and it will be done in hardly any time at all!
- If you are hurt, or if she just THINKS you are hurt, she's very quick to give your 'ouchie' kisses
- A week after turning two, she learned how to jump off of both feet at the same time! She loves gymnastics and the trampoline is her favorite. She hops all over the place now!
We celebrated her second birthday at the pool at The Trails Golf Club. It was extremely hot (got to 111 degrees that day) so thank goodness it was a pool party! She had tons of friends and family who came to celebrate with her. We appreciate everyone who came out...it was hot (so hot the cupcakes were melting) but she still had around 50 people there! Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is her favorite show, so of course that was the theme of the party! It was a great day!

About Our New Blog
So Brad and I decided we were going to start a blog. Hopefully we'll keep up with this better than we do blogging on Kensie's site! When trying to decide on a title for the blog, we came up with a list of things but Talley Love...Actually was my favorite (Brad came up with it) because it had a lot of meaning and when I read it, it made my heart happy.
Six years ago, Brad and I first met up at Jackson. We were both up at school almost every night the last month of summer working on our classrooms and getting things ready for the upcoming school year. We got to know each other really well, really quickly, during long talks we would have after we were done working. One evening, we were sitting in my classroom talking and it came up that we both loved the movie Love Actually. We shared our favorite parts of the movie, favorite lines, etc. Then we decided to rank our favorite characters in order and then compare. Our lists were exactly the same....just one of many things we had in common. That led to us watching the movie together and then a lot of hanging out as friends outside of school. Somewhere along the line, we started dating. Neither Brad nor myself actually remember our first date, but we are pretty sure it was at Othello's. After three years of dating we got married, a year later had a baby, and in two days we will be celebrating our 3rd anniversary. Three years of bliss, filled with laughter, tears, friendship, surprise....proving that "love is all around"!
